The 2013 Reconciling Convocation has been scheduled for Labor Day weekend. 

Why should you go?  Joy Butler, Reconciling Ministries Team Chair at Saint John’s UMC in Austin says this about her experience at the 2011 biennial Convocation:

“I had no idea it would be that wonderful.  I was expecting a conference, and yes, there were helpful workshops and dynamic speakers, but also so much more.  The worship services were so inspiring, with incredible music.  Being at the convocation was like experiencing heaven on earth.  Everyone was so loving and inclusive!  Despite being raised in the Methodist church and attending most of my life, I had never experienced that kind of acceptance, in any group.  I came home with the desire to create that same loving community experience at MY church.”
