Don’t miss this educational talk this Sunday at 10am at Saint John’s UMC in the main building (in Fellowship Hall across from sanctuary). 2140 Allendale Rd, Austin 78756
Led by Rev. Richard Bates from University UMC and Adama Brown from First UMC, this talk will address how the United Methodist Church has handled integration of minority groups in the past and discuss the challenges that still remain ahead of us. All are welcome!
This talk will fall on Saint John’s Second Sunday, which is the Sunday when many at Saint John’s choose to wear either rainbow stoles, rainbow ribbons or rainbow cross pins to service. You are encouraged to wear yours, or to take one offered in the gallery (on the table just outside the Fellowship Hall).
